Theodore Shapiro Professor Emeritus, Weill-Cornell Medical College Theodore Shapiro is Professor Emeritus at the Weill-Cornell Medical College and a practicing psychoanalyst and adult, child and adolescent psychiatrist . He is a co-principle investigator on a study of psychodynamic psychotherapy for children and adolescents with anxiety disorders. He has more than 200 scholarly and research publications, is author of 7 books, and was Editor of the Journal of the American Psychoanalytic Association from 1983-94. He has received the Rado, Brill, Hartmann, and Philip Wilson Awards and is a training/supervising analyst at New York Psychoanalytic Society and Institute.
