Ellen Levy Ellen K. Levy, a New York-based artist and writer is Past President of the College Art Association (2004-2006) and received her PhD from the University of Plymouth (UK) (2012) on the art and neuroscience of attention. With Patricia Olynyk she co-directs the NY-based LASER (Leonardo Art and Science Evening Rendezvous). Until recently she was Special IDSVA Advisor on the Arts and Sciences at the Institute for Doctoral Studies in the Visual Arts. Levy has had numerous group and solo exhibitions, both in the US and abroad, including at the New York Academy of Sciences (1984) and the National Academy of Sciences (1985) and has published widely on art and complex systems.
